The Surprising Collectible Worth Thousands (Maybe)
KPop Demon Hunters, NFL Uno, and Marge Simpson Like You've Never Seen Before
This is kind of dumb saying this out loud, because now we’re all at war with one another for this, but here we go:
I have a hunch that I’ve found a collectible related to KPop Demon Hunters that NOBODY is on, and it cannot be found anywhere.
It is the Netflix Family Magazine, Issue 9, Summer 2025.

Sounds wild, right? But follow along with me, because it has all the elements:
KPop Demon Hunters is arguably the biggest movie of the past five years.
The movie’s success caught so many people off-guard that there is laughably little merchandise to buy
Case in point: Funko POPs of the main characters won’t even be released until the end of January 2026
You cannot find Halloween costumes of the characters from any legitimate store. The best you get is a “coming soon” from Spirit Halloween — and my prediction is they get released, they sell out immediately, and you can’t get them for less than $125 on eBay.

There is a robust market for magazines right now — from $100,000 Playboys to comic books to Sports Illustrateds.
Netflix Family is a physical magazine that is free for anyone, but they don’t sell back issues. You can download a digital copy but you aren’t getting the KPop Demon Hunter stickers.
This issue is the only place where you can get officially licensed KPDH stickers outside of the ridiculous $10 sheet on the Netflix Shop.
We live in a world where cards from a children's magazine, SI For Kids, sell for tens and sometimes hundreds of thousands of dollars.
You cannot find a physical copy of Netflix Family ANYWHERE on the secondary market. And I searched a LOT. I even ran very pointed queries through several AI engines. They gave up. This eBay listing was it and it’s now “out of stock” (Buy on eBay).
Add this all up and we have a super-scarce, can-no-longer-be-found-anywhere “first appearance” magazine with stickers. Featuring one of the biggest global pop culture phenomena of the last decade.
Keep in mind the movie took a little while to gain steam, so when it came in the mail ahead of its release, kids weren’t fighting over who got it — people probably just tossed it on the table, let the kids have at it, then tossed it after it was scribbled on and the stickers were raided. It has all the hallmarks of a hugely sought-after collectible. And if a copy gets a high grade? I wouldn’t be surprised if it hits five digits. And I’m serious. THIS is the “rookie card” for KPop Demon Hunters. Nobody kept this in top shape. Or even kept it, period.
And instead of keeping this all to myself, I have decided to share it here, in the hopes that someone, somewhere will find one in the wild and put it on eBay for $700. “KPop Demon Hunters First Appearance. MEGA-RARE.” Then I’ll do a little nod like Alfred in The Dark Knight Rises, close my laptop, and leave with a heart full of joy.
Speaking of magazines, in my hunt for the elusive Issue 9, I discovered Marge Simpson was nude in Playboy in 2009 (Buy on eBay).
And if you don’t want to click on that link because it will do some very weird (and predictable) things to your eBay algorithm? Here are the three answers you’re looking for: about $80-90, yes… and no.
Marge Simpson has a surprise for her fans in the November issue of Playboy.

We now reach a fork in the road where Mantel CEO/hapless Mail Day editor Evan Parker has to be wondering, “Is he going to go deeper down this ‘collectible nudity’ route where I have to consider editing out 500 words of off-color commentary? Or did he take notes all week on a couple other cool (clothed) things that will make this a much stronger read for all involved?”
The answer is the latter, friends! Let’s talk about UNO cards.
Remember how Prizm Monopoly crashed and burned, spectacularly? I’ve written about it here before. It’s still kind of mind-bending to understand how a pandemic-era card line paired with one of the most collectible board games in the hottest collectible sport at the time failed so miserably. This was, to me, one of the surest of sure bets in the last 10 years. And being so wrong made me question everything.
And then NFL UNO cards popped into my life.
I somehow, through some series of eBay searches (“nude UNO PSA 10” probably) stumbled upon “NFL Elite UNO” and I’m not sure if I should grab a box before someone somewhere decides it’s cool and pups up prices… or if I should save my money for basically anything else.
I was initially going with “save my money,” as the highest price paid for an UNO Elite card has been $75 — an “SSP” Patrick Mahomes “wild” card. There’s a $50 Josh Allen and then a $45… Tyler Biadasz? (Buy on eBay). And now that I know centers are involved… maybe this is the set for me. Centers deserve cards as much as anyone!!
I don’t think this is going to be a resale $100 box that you hoard in your attic. But it might be a weird, fun one to open. Especially at the $15 price point.
On a more pure note, to wrap up, Disney Chrome came out to a ton of fanfare, and while the prices were relatively high (and the cards looked spectacular), I’d like to remind everyone that Kakawow’s Disney cards — especially the Hot Box — don’t offer the big resale upside, but they’re officially licensed, they look great, and you can get a box for about $40 shipped (Buy on eBay).
Have a great week everyone! I’ll be busy dumpster diving local preschool recyclables for copies of Netflix Family Magazine!
